I created The Highlighted Life as a Way to Share With Others My Journey Through Personal Growth from a Biblical Perspective.
How It All Began
A boy abandoned by his dad and sent away to live with an aunt & uncle by his mom, grew up and joined the Air Force and eventually met and married the girl of his dreams and started a family.
This man, my Dad, had the worst negative attitude that started to push my mom away. Until he found Success Motivation Institute and started devouring personal development records.
He insisted on his 6 children listening to these records every week and after 40+ years here I am still listening to and reading books on personal growth. His legacy is living on!!!

The Idea Behind This Site
While reading The Psychology of Money on my iPad through the Kindle App I went to highlight something and noticed that I wasn’t the only one that found that quote or part of the book interesting.
I got to thinking that maybe they have a list of all the popular highlights in this book and sure enough, they do. This is when the bright idea for The Highlighted Life was planted.
I wanted a place to share all I’ve been learning but put Yahweh back into these books since all of them have biblical foundations.
Leaving a Legacy To My Children & Grandchildren
Since losing my Dad in 2022 I’m realizing how precious every word, every action, and every moment is that you are pouring into your children and grandchildren. That’s what I want this site to be…a legacy left for my children and grandchildren.
I love you all so much and pray that The Lord continues to show himself mightily to each of you.
